What a lovely warm & sunny day it was today - if you ignore the 15-20mph head/side wind that seemed to be with me for about 90% of today's ride.
A nice 30something miles heading out of Cambridge city centre to St. Ives on the guided busway cycle path and then back through the countryside to the west of the city. The only problem was that I'd routed myself back through the main University area (thnk Kings College area) - I'd rather do battle with heavy vehicle traffic anywhere else in the city rather than try to negotiate tourists!

We mostly have no option but to mix it with them in our daily lives. The ones who annoy most I think are the slow drivers who will not pull over to let anybody past.
We got a new police sarg. who had complaints from touroid about being harassed by following drivers so announced that anyone caught doing this would be prosecuted. This policy lasted about a month as he was constantly frustrated while driving his own civilian car and realised the error of his ways.
I was a bit annoyed by one of the constables who used his blues and twos to pass a long stream to get home for his tea. I was at the end of the queue and thought he would stop the mobile road block for some "advice" thus letting the rest of us get on in peace.

A grey and mild day here chez Casa Reynard.

I slept well, but it took me a long time to fall asleep. I do not feel as depressed / numb as I did yesterday, but that ache just under my sternum is still there. I had a long chat with my motorsport historian friend last night, which helped a lot.

The cats seem to have forgiven me for zapping them with flea treatment last night. I haven't seen any evidence of passengers for a good month now, so I think we are finally winning this particular battle. You have to give it about three months as the little sods are a devil for lurking in the rugs.

Madam Poppy is telling me that it is nearly ham time. Madam Lexi is outside in the garden.

I shall do a little bit of gardening later, and then there are pancakes on the agenda. I've yet to decide what kind to make.

Luncheon first though. Time to put the kettle on.

Have also explained movable feasts and Shrove Tuesday and pancakes.

Parliament has for many decades had the power to fix easter they just need to grow a pair and use it.
What's seen as the most important synod meeting in the history of the church. Which set the date of easter was chaired by Abbess Hild at Whitby Abbey in 664. Which makes the church look even more odd seeing how it gets in right mess over women.

As a Member of a Parliament here in Hundred Acre Wood, perhaps I should look at changing the dates of Easter.
