I think we were going to go to Germany to celebrate Armistice day 2018, so, umm, sorry.
Hawaii sounds much better anyway!

I've managed to find another bit of info (a little section from a video clip on the Tube of You) that helps me pin down the ownership of the Superstox whose history I'm trying to trace after it was sold sometime in the late spring / early summer of 1983.
I had two possible hypotheses, although both were linked anyway. It was just a question of *which* brother-in-law ponied up.
The footage is from after the new engine regulations were introduced in the middle of the year, as the car has Ford Pinto branding on the rear of the driver's cab. This puts is around July / August '83. Sadly there's no exact date given for the footage, so it's a best guess.

Ah yes, probably, and easier to reach than Hawaii. More trains and railways in Germany as well.
