Grey and not terribly warm here chez Casa Reynard. It's been dry today, and we missed all the rain yesterday. I think it was split evenly between Donington Park and @Jenkins
Overdosed on motor racing at the weekend. A kitchen day today. Amongst other things that have been prepared, I have a chilli on the go in the crock pot and I have made a jar of basil & walnut pesto. I still have a batch of coronation chicken to make - that will take care of the last of the tandoori chicken.
Madam Lexi brought me a rat earlier. Very dead of course, given she'd ripped its head off. She is now sat on my lap looking very pleased with herself.

Bacon, sausage, black pudding, beans and a couple fresh fried tomatoes, egg and a couple slices of rye and wholemeal toast for tea.
Mostly chosen to get stuff used up out of the fridge. Not normally a fan of sausages, base food IMO, but these were OK.

Moderately successful day.
Sunny but still that cold wind. Sat in my sheltered bit of garden shed but still freezing cold even in full sun.
Managed to get my third choice of booking for a ferry trip which by present standards is pretty good.
Pharmacy has only one missing item from my order due to "supply difficulties" and I got the last tube of a particular eye ointment in the shop for the same reason. They hope to get more soon.
Dropped off a sample at the surgery to go for testing.
This is in a most inconvenient location on a loop and most people go anticlockwise. Today the service bus turned in and it goes clockwise round the circle so I followed it rather than meet it in some impossible to pass place. It is so tight with parked cars and vans that the bus had to take to the pavement to get past them in several places.
I am on a new to me medication, omeprazole which has a frightening range of possible and many likely side effects.
Topped up car with diesel to have a reasonably full tank for my trip next week as for a day trip I take an overnight bag and could have to do an extra nearly 140 miles to get home.
MV Isle of Mull which is just back to us has been off with "technical difficulties" most of today.

A 406 bicycle rim I ordered has cleared customs, only took 10 days! Might be able to start building a new wheel within the week!
