I’ve made a small area over to vegetables
Runner beans

Two small raised beds One for carrots the other for parsnips The small space left has onions cabbage and lettuce

Started harvesting the carrots as we need them.Re sew the carrots as space allows
Potatoes are being grown in a tub

Next year I will put two more raised beds for the the cabbage onions and lettuce

Quite pleased how productive veg in the raised beds have done in small space.🥕🥕🥦🧄

I used to grow veggies on a reasonable scale while dad was alive, but while I enjoyed the freshness of the produce, yields were either a) disappointing for the work involved or b) overwhelming.

These days I just grow tomatoes and herbs in large planters.

I've got a dip pen, a bottle of Indian ink and as much paper as you could ever want. That do you?

Same here, or a TI 99

I've noticed this evening that my resident big exhaust and bodykit emblazoned Corsa driving boyracer has upgraded to a white Honda Civic with big exhaust and bodykit.

At least he's got four cylinders now!
Is he firing on all cylinders though!

I know where there is one computer, used to calculate the odds, correlate the statistics of every horse that had ever run in any race.

Takes up at least one whole floor, and requires don't know how much electric to run it.

When I started work, the company had one computer, about the size of three double wardrobes. It occupied its own temperature controlled office, with three or four people to programme it. All it did was the invoices!

I did a computer programming course in 1969 ish. We had to write a flow chart and create (I can't remember how) punch cards that got fed into a slot in a big cabinet.
It clicked and whirred before producing a result (if you were lucky 🍀)
