Then went out to the edge of the wood to finish tidying up that ash tree and turning it into logs. While out there, I noticed two dead oaks, another dead ash and a dead cherry, all in a clump a little bit further down. I took advantage of the fact that the wind had dropped from earlier and felled all four. No danglies this time, they all came down cleanly, exactly where I wanted. They've been cut into sections and stacked along with the rest of the first ash tree. Did cut a wheelbarrow of logs to bring back and stash in the garage. I shall carry on with this tomorrow.
Wasn't the usual postie on the round this morning (usual chap leaves large stuff in a safe sheltered spot), so I will have to go to the depot in town tomorrow to pick up a parcel. Might pop into Aldi while I'm there as it's next to the depot.
