we're up!
Driving back from Calne about 10 minutes ago I spotted a car had crashed through a hedge on the A4. I couldn't see if anyone eas in the car but noticed that there wasn't any police tape around it so I tried phoning the police from home . What a right palava! Bl**Dy automated answering service . Press 1 if you want your head examined ! Press 2 if your pants are too tight . Press 3 and so on ! All I wanted was to speak t someone to see if they knew about the accident ! It could have just happened or had been like it for hours ! It would be days going by their answering service ! I almost got to the point of ringing 999 when a person answered my call. She said that they knew about it and that things were being sorted . If it was a politician in the car I would have put camouflage netting over it !
I have joined a Facebook group,Cycling for the over 70's my word we are a fit lot us seniors.I have mentioned CC on the page.Go over and take a peak a great looking bunch of cyclists.
It's my working weekend 😔
Our front and rear lawns have been cut as well as our neighbours front lawn , and it started to rain as I just finished
Is that a comparison of your lawn mowing standards with those of your neighbour?
It really affects whether stones curl more or stay stay straight more, amongst other things, like the 'speed' of the ice.
Anyway, I believe there is a rink in Cambridge (something to do with the Uni??) that does it, although to be fair, the season is ending soon anyway, unfortunately:

The fees are a little high due to the energy crisis, sadly - We (our council run leisure centre rink in Greenock) are £14 a game and that is considered quite good going.
Yes, I'm aware of the rink in Cambridge, but none of my friends seem to want to get together to have a go. Mind you, the suggestion to book a karting session also fell rather flat on its face.I prefer doing fun / interesting things to sitting in a bar gradually getting bladdered, and £20-ish for an evening out is now not a lot tbh. It's way cheaper than the aforementioned bar, and much more entertaining. (I'm teetotal btw, but still...)
Not at all , I have been mowing there front lawn for about 19 years now
