Happy Cake Day @Jenkins :birthday:
Er - thanks, but that was just over a couple of months ago.

Do you mean Mrs @tom73 or have you found 20p and having a go at time travel?

After the week I've had I needed a day like today. Woke up earlyish and just laid in bed listening to the radio until I couldn't ignore my bladder any longer. A large mug of coffee to refil the empty space followed as did a glass of squash, breakfast and another coffee while I waited for the Sisters tickets to go on sale. Ticket secured and an unexpectedly cheap hotel room secured and then off on a long loop into town to replenish the breakfast cereal stock. Home, toast and another cuppa and then back out to Ipswich for the collection from Halfords and Sainsburys where a couple of bottles of Halo wash were purchased.

It was a lovely sunny day, but there was a keen south easterly breeze so, rather than battle the wind homewards, I kept on into Westerfield in order to get the train home - and missed it by a couple of minutes. With an hour to spare I popped into the Railway pub next to the station only to find Adnams Ghost Ship on draft so missed the next train an hour later and only just made the one after that

Ooops! Must've misread what you posted last night.

Wish I had some extra 20p bits to stick in the machine. Then I could travel back to 1983 and do part of my research the easy way instead of trying to find the proverbial needle in a whole field of haystacks. Should I bump into a particular racing driver, I shall threaten to toast his figgin in a bid to get the answers

Had a lovely luncheon of a sandwich filled with Polish sausage, plus an apple, some strawberries, some blueberries, half an avocado and the obligatory two :cuppa:

Spent the afternoon working on the research and watching the horse racing from Aintree. A horse that a friend has a share in finished second in his race.

Now just having a nice quiet evening as I don't need to cook today.

That was a big sandwich!

Morning.
There is watery sunshine here at the moment . There must be some thin cloud on the horizon . The rest of the sky is blue with a few small clouds around .
We went to a quiz night in the town hall last night held by the Wilts and Berks Canal Trust. I went along with my wife to help with the numbers for her team. It took a while for my foggy head to get working . I didn't do too badly on British history and did very well on British birds . We did appallingly badly on Eurovision ! Countries shouldn't use artists from other countries to play for them ! It threw us completely!
