Almost on topic for once - have been tree pruning this afternoon of the overhanging branches of my neighbours hedge which, unkept like the rest of that back garden, has evolved into a tree. Managed to get a fair number off using a Lidl Parkside sourced tree lopper and maybe a few more are possible but there are some big chunky bits - something to consider for a future day; might be able to get a ladder up and attack them with a saw. Took three attempts abandoning for rain each time which turned out to be nothing much; predicted thunderstorm and heavy rain once again failing to turn up.

Here, any fauna that grows over the boundary can be cut off, and you can dump the branches on the neighbours land.

Thundery showers forecast but just wet all morning.
Sun and blue sky appeared after lunch so out on trike for a bit of exercise. Went up to Glengorm and heavy rain drops started so sprint back to shelter and then the rain stopped again. Nice little run but hard work on the way back.
I did stop for one photo of Ardnamurchan with the mountains of Rum visible and if you know it is there Canna is a faint shadow.

Had a prawn & avocado sandwich for luncheon, along with a banana, an orange and some strawberries, plus two :cuppa:

Spent the afternoon grass cutting. Did all the bits around the house and along the drive (looks neat for passers by), and then went to carry on ploughing through the reeds and cow parsley along the drain. Was just about to pack up when the mower got jammed on an elderberry stump the drainage board left behind that I couldn't see. Had to trot back to get the chainsaw and cut the mower free. Blimey, that was hot and sweaty work. Stump is now an ex-stump.

Now chilling with a :cuppa: and a biskit.
