Afternoon cuppa went down well.
First DIY job failed due to look of correct repair kit

After a decent ride out this morning to Selby and north a bit I've started to tackle the garden. Grass has been cut as it's the first day without rain we've had in a while - then it rained. Also, the compose bin has had mice in - which is fine - but whatever was in it on Monday had a long tail. There's also a hole nearby that looks too big for mice. So I've pulled out the base and started the process of moving the compost bin somewhere else, this time with a proper solid base.

I did a 60.3 mile ride in the end, my longest since October. I made it to the sea and back. All went okay, a lot of stops and minor detours. Funny how you can always find new things in your own locality.

Well, hopefully he'll learn how to replace a driveshaft.

There's that, but personally, I was hoping he'd learn to not drive like a grade A twit.

The car is gone anyway, just a pool of gear oil to make where it sat.

Mice generally have longer hairy tails than rats which have shorter near naked tails. Size of hole could indeed signify rats.
I spent nearly 20 years in malting and distilling so had too many eyeball to eyeball encounters with rats of all sizes.
Best to err on the safe side tho’.

I've had my Friday pie and chips. Mince steak and onion tonight. As I cycled to Kinnegar bay earlier, it seemed appropriate to have a bottle of Kinnegar beer with it.

I now have a Twirl for afters.
