What an evening last night turned into. Mrs 73 phoned in right state she'd crashed the car minutes from home.
Once I'd calmed her down and made sure she was ok I set off walking down. On route I phoned my mate who like me drops everything when we need each other. He picked me up midway once i'd hugged her and got her to stop crying. We sat Mrs 73 in his car he looked after her , talked to the couple who had stopped and I went and sorted the owner of the wall. She was fine about it and i've sorted it. The wall has little damage just a few bricks moved a few mm out of place. Her mother was a bit odd going on about do you think she's had a drop in blood pressure and crap like that. I was like look, she just finished a 12 hour shift in one the most stressful environments you can imagine. The really nice young couple who had stopped said they thought as much. She phoning later today to see how Mrs 73 is.
Once all sorted I drove the car home my mate followed with Mrs 73. As my mate told her it's just a car , it's what insurance is for.
She is ok, unhurt was just really upset and kept saying sorry at me. Not remembering is making her feel worse. I'm just left thinking what could have been. Once home you can guess what her first thought was. Need to phone work can't go tomorrow ect .ect. Work are fine about it as they would be. Mrs 73 will be specking to her boss later.
She not going in anymore this week i'm putting my foot down. Like all of them she's doing too much trying to keep every afloat and is totally worn out. They've now had to take on even more work as Pharmacy have little staff. I've told her to slow down.
No idea what happened she can't really remember. A new estate being built has meant a new access road and the tiny mini roundabout. Is now a bigger round about bit still deigned like and looks like a mini one. The lane is way too big as you go round and and come off. It's pretty disorienting you can without knowing end up and the wrong side of the road as you come off.
As for the car it's the bumper, wing and wing mirror. Not sure if to bother with the insurance given it's a 10 plate they'd most likely right it off.
We know a good body shop who we've used before and is nice bloke with no messing you about. All the insurance companies use the one next door. That's all they do and know they just charge what ever along with poor service. Everyone who's used them or is in the know say's stay clear.
