This Canadian cyclist kept up with our train for 20 mins this morning, all the travellers were cheering him on as we raced along at a good 30 +

mph. I took this picture and the cyclist was going uphill. I think the cycle may have had electrical assistance?

Elderly relative has activated her care line alarm tonight so being first contact I came over to check on her and she is absolutely out for the count so tried waking her up but couldn't do it , so drove home (7 miles) and get another call as it's been activated again now sat in her lounge waiting for her to wake up so I can explain things..... could be a long night

Called it a day at 1 am as mum hadn't stirred even though I was in the lounge watching TV , left her a note explaining that I had been over.
She has apologised this morning even though she didn't need to bless her.

The new reeds for my Saxaphone arrived eventually the other day. I thought they had been lost as they were very late arriving and there was nothing showing on the tracking. I managed to contact the seller to tell him they had arrived just before he sent replacements.
I n the meantime I had been trying a reed a friend let me have and I managed to get some notes out of it, even my wife managed to despite not getting anything out of my clarinet. I gave up trying yesterday as I was feeling a bit tired and things didn't go well. No point flogging a dead horse.
I have joined a FB site for beginners to try to learn a few things. It seems as though there is a bit of snobbery when it comes to where a sax was made. I haven't a clue as to where mine was made or who made it! So many look alike, mine doesn't have fancy engraving on it just a name etched into the bell which could be from the shop which sold it. Chinese horns are supposed to be poorly manufactured but when you look into it further you find that some of the reputable companies are getting theirs manufactured there. Some of the reviews I have read say that the Chinese have improved their quality and have produced some good cheap horns. So there I am confused! I haven't a clue as to where it was made, it looks like it was made well, nothing has fallen off so far and I think it sounds okay. It might sound like Les Dawson playing the piano but how do I know?
