Art stuff put away for the evening. I have finally plucked up the courage to do the air restrictor and right rear tyre. It's largely doing the shading from hereon in, though I've still got a few logos to do and do all the shadows underneath the car.

I much prefer using this Langton hot-pressed paper for coloured pencil work as opposed to watercolours, as it's super easy to blend and lift out the pigment compared to my usual choice of Murano. Both made by Daler-Rowney of course. I'll stick to Bockingford for watercolour work, I think.

A bright start here, a high of 20° forecast today and warmer still tomorrow and Saturday. Great for ice cream sales but not so good for the livestock at the Royal Highland Show.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's clear blue skies, sunshine and light winds to start the day.

Coffee has been had after a very good night's sleep. A slightly early start for me as I'm off for lunch just over the border in Norfolk, setting off in about 90 minutes time. Looks like it's going to be a very warm ride so a large bottle of drink has been prepared and the factor 30 sun cream will be applied.

We've got 31C forecast for today and rising. I'd bolt for the coast where it's cooler if I could. But things get in the way.

The local blackbird was at it at 3:40 this morning. He has a sort of tag at the end of his song that's very close to the ''wheeooowhit!'' whistle that we use to get someone's attention. She doesn't appear to be listening. (It's the reverse of the wolf whistle, which goes ''Whit! Wheeoo!'' in my improvised whistling orthography.)
