Ten years? I could end unauthorised sewage spillages in ten minutes.

It's been a grey and mostly rainy day here chez Casa Reynard.

Sleep was middling at best down to a cat deciding to sleep a) on top of me and then b) pinning me in so I couldn't turn over. Despite wanting a quiet day, it's been a busy one. Had a kitchen morning, did two loads of laundry - the second of which hadn't been anticipated, did a load of prep for tomorrow, put away last night's shopping and have washed my hair.

One load of laundry was down to Madam peeing on the bed. I don't think it was intentional, it just happened. I was wondering why she'd been trying to "bury" the top blanket while I was keeping an eye the cycling on the TV in my room (parental was watching something else downstairs) while dealing with some paperwork, and then realised the blanket and the one below it was wet. So had to strip that and wash them.

Also went into the garden once it'd stopped raining to cut some ivy and bay for my flowers, and yeah, got another lumberjilling job to do.... My curly willow has dropped two big branches, right in the spot where I'd finished clearing up those smashed up cherry trees last month. So I can't get the mower in there *again* until I've cleared that up. I guess the weight of the water on the leaves yesterday was just too much and caused the branches to snap. We're talking branches close to ten inches in diameter here...

I'm just sat down with a :cuppa: - the first time I've really had a good sit down all day.

Another nice day here. It's actually too hot 🥵

I had a nice day yesterday inspecting and playing with my friend's bicycle collection. I rode a fixed wheel bike for the first time since the night a Citroen drove into me almost four years ago. I think it's time I built myself another fixed bike.:bicycle:

I've spent the afternoon volunteering. On the way home, my car decided two cylinders were sufficient. I don't have a fault reader but basic old school diagnostics of disconnecting each cylinder in turn seems to point to a coil pack fault on one cylinder, so I'll risk it and get one and see if the problem is resolved.

Out now for my usual Sunday live music fix. Not impressed with the bar refurbishment. Whoever made these stools clearly never tried to sit on one. I suppose they look nice and trendy.

My neighbours are a lovely Sufi Muslim family and they've a relative getting married so are having parties to celebrate the impending nuptials.

A large marquee was erected yesterday, live music being played (very loudly), loads of their family, etc. It's a big party every night until the wedding. New flamboyant outfits for everyone for each day, lots of food, entertainment, the full works.

But ... the wedding is in 10 days' time!

What happens if the bride and groom fall out before the wedding?

And from experience of them in the last year they can really party hard!

Me? I'm going to be well fed (probably) and very sleep deprived.

I don't know how they do it.
