Good morning from a first floor hotel room in sunny York where the view this time is of the hotel's car park.
Coffee and a shower have been had and I'll be taking a short stroll up the road for breakfast shortly. An early train this morning as the price difference between the 10:00 and the preferred 12:000 departure was quite significant on a low budget trip.

Looks like another free train trip has just been had. We got held up badly by a late running freight train and as I stepped off the train at Ipswich I could see the Felixstowe bound train pulling out from the platform opposite. A delay repay claim has been submitted already and the full ticket cost should be refunded.
Other than that not a bad day with time for breakfast, coffee and two hot chocolates before leaving York, mostly sunny all the way with some impressive looking storm clouds in East Anglia and another free hot drink code just redeemed at Greggs in the station while I wait for the next Felixstowe train.

Lunchtime stroll completed earlier nice and warm then we changed direction and the wind was quite chilly but overall it was a good walk.
