Itching to get back on my bike's
Location
Northamptonshire
My working day is completed
Sound's like I have a school dress errand to do tonight hopefully no cameras involved

well that was a waste? of time. heard a weird wildlife type of yelp on one of our home security cameras. raced home to check on cat & for wildlife in the house & remembered the window in that room is open & there's a little kid playing outside who makes all sorts of sounds

It's been a warm and blustery day that's gradually got increasingly overcast.

Slept well, but feel bleurgh. A combo of lady issues and looks like another cold. Have dribbly nose and itchy eyes. Had a gentle morning pootling about with some chores. Watered the planters, as we'd escaped the forecast rain, and things were wilting a bit. Took some sausages and beef mince out of the freezer in order to make a meatloaf tomorrow.

Lovely luncheon of stilton & tomato chutney on toast, an apple, some blackberries and a :cuppa:

Spent part of the afternoon tinkering in the garage. Just like @Gwylan, I am dealing with an electrical fault. Albeit on a lawnmower, and it's not intermittent. The damn thing is as dead as a dodo in spite of a now fully-charge battery. I will need to check all the wiring (is there a dodgy connection somewhere?) or see of the emergency cut-off is somehow engaged. And electrics are NOT my forte...

After, popped out to do some errands. I swung by Jewson, but they don't stock the type of drill bit I'm after. Will try Cutlack's on Thursday. Then dropped into Tesco for bread and milk. Picked up two packets of rolls and two packets of dried apricots on YS.

And now it's time to feed the cat, and then it will be time to feed me.

I am usually a very patient patient, but that is starting to be diminished.

One of the GPs phoned me last week to ask if treatment was going well after my recent diagnosis. That diagnosis was 1st May. I have received a letter today telling me that I am not eligible for Covid vaccine this year. Receiving chemo treatment puts me on the "clinically vulnerable" list.

It is a good thing that I can email the Cancer Nurses Team, instead of using the phone.

In other news, I have won £325 on the Premium Bonds. ^_^

I have just started watching the Vuelta on Quest and so far I'm not impressed! The commentary is by an Irish woman an 2 blokes from Oz. The focussing appears to be from Today newspaper. If you can remember them they were the first to introduce 3D images, shame they didn't provide the glasses with the paper. I don't think I can watch an R of this. Sorry the accents are getting to me!

Racing for the first time in 10 months at Derby velodrome. Nowhere near the front in the first race, but not last. The photo is not me!

Edited: somehow got 2nd in the next race, a 'win and out'. In bits now.

2nd edit; got a win in the Points race. Now dead so have stopped before the 4th race.
