It’s been a fabulous morning here, sunny but chilly. Enjoyed a couple of hours mostly offroad, the paths and tracks are still mostly bone dry.

Awaiting BIL and his bike. Head out into the sun.

Lovely morning so far - walk through Nottingham in the sunshine, cooked breakfast, coffee & hot chocolate, then watching the countryside pass by from the train.

Only problem is that we're running 15 minutes late and now stuck behind the train I'm supposed to connect to at Ely. Looks like another delay repay full refund as I'll be stuck at Ely for a couple of hours.

If only there was someone we knew near Ely!! 😋

And home - an hour later than scheduled, but an hour earlier than expected a while ago. After a bit of timetable searching and a check with the conductor to ensure my ticket was valid, I decided to stay on the EMR train to Norwich and get the mainline train from there to Ipswich saving an hour.

If only there was someone we knew near Ely!! 😋

I did consider putting a call our for emergency snacks to be delivered to platform 2 from just up the road

Time restock the overnight bag ready for Thursday and then to make a strong mug of coffee and sit down to make the delay repay claim.

Just back from my first walk,Saturday to the Health Centre does not count,in a week.My word the gunge coming out of my nose,i am glad i got some medication on Saturday.
