I assume it won't be the boxers you wear regularly as that may prove crowded and somewhat uncomfortable I'd imagine. 😁

Penultimate day of work for 2025 completed, and it was long! I ended up having to log in again at 7 to make some calls to our Stateside people. I feel pleased with myself actually, as I think I have solved a recurring customer complaint. No doubt my manager will still find something to complain about.

A nice clear night, but no cycling as there's definitely an ice risk.

I have been browsing sheds as I intend to upgrade my bike storage facility in the new year.

Think it's thermals under smartish clobber for today's obligations.

Also, later, review fridge contents.
Especially mysterious, anonymous items in freezer boxes. Left overs that may now be harbouring death and destruction or at least a dose of the squits.

Oh and settle up with HMRC before it gets more expensive.

Another busy day in my world.

The fridge is purged. Lunch was interesting, made it to supper with no adverse results.
The test is furry, a dodgy smell or a fizzy taste. Doubtful items into the food waste thingie. Still less than half full. Next collection Thursday, I think.

It's been a bright and mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard. With a rogue light shower at tea time.

Slept well. Chores undertaken, then spent the morning lumberjilling. Three heaped wheelbarrows of logs have been safely stashed in the garage. Dusted the sawdust from my clothes and took the car over to the garage to have the new tyre ordered before Christmas fitted.

They were pretty busy in there, so the ten minute estimate ended up being nearly an hour. I took myself off for a nice walk around the village. Some really nice seasonal decorations to be seen. Also had a nice chat with the receptionist.

As I didn't get home till three, I skipped luncheon and headed off into town to return the leggings I bought yesterday. No problems there. Incidentally, the lady on customer services had exactly the same issue with the leggings. We both swear they're all the same size, just put in different packaging. Drew a blank in Mountain Warehouse for an almost like-for-like - the website says yes, the too-small store in Ely doesn't hold that particular line. Still, found some roubaix-lined thermal leggings in Peacocks, so bought those instead.

A detour to Littleport on the way home to pick up some more of the "mepore" dressings for my leg from the little independent pharmacy in Parsons Lane. Those, paired with the sterile wound pads that Tesco sell, are currently the most comfortable option.

Tea and toast was had on return. Then I made a big pot of thai-inspired pumpkin and red lentil soup.

Supper was a bowl of soup, a hot lamb sandwich, and a slice of chocolate cheesecake.

I'm now sat by the fire listening to Arsenal v Villa.

A quiet evening so I've sorted out the end of year paperwork of bills & statements to be shredded a few days early. Once the bank statements go online in early January I'll be doing the electronic filing equivalent and doing the end of year back-up of the various photos, music & electronic documents to external drives.

Next up is the evening's hot chocolate and possibly another earlyish night.
