My car conked out today!

I’ve accidentally hit the speed limiter button on my 3 series with the heel of my hand when pulling out of a car park and turning into the road. It’s the button marked LIM on the steering wheel left spoke. So it’s in a similar position.

on mine it defaults to the speed you’re driving at so it would have been 15-20 mph
It was disconcerting and I thought it was conking out, but I realised before driving much further.
Maybe you’re just catching it with your hand.
