I was joking! Sorry if it didn't come across that way. I don't think I'd find sleep easily in your house as it is currently. It reminds me of our first house, where the previous owner had knocked two ground floor rooms and a hallway into one big room, supporting the upper floor on RSJs. All well and good, except that when I removed some cheap and nasty wall panelling, I found that the RSJs were supported on one side by nothing more than pieces of 2" by 3" softwood.![]()
I've known a couple of friends who have had subsidence, none on your scale, makes theirs seem insignificant. Still they should end up redecorating for you, hope you have picked out some new paint colours.
