Opened 2025, closed 2026 and £1.5m spent. 2 year closure saves the council from actually having to maintain and look after the cycle lane for that time.

This is more-or-less on my doorstep.
When UU "re-instate" the path it will likely be evident that their contractors have done a slap-dash-half-arsed job ... like every other job UU has done in my part of the world.
