Or you're obviously a softy southerner who doesn't know the meaning of cold and rain.

I am a northerner who moved to the south with work. Maybe you are the softie northerner. Wearing waterproofs when it is sunny! 🤣

Yes it's all relative. When MtM says he is a northerner who moved south for work, he could mean he moved from Manchester :laugh:.

Regardless of so called “how northern are you” discussions. You are the one demonstrating fair weather tendencies and softness, wearing a waterproof in the June mid day sun. You must wear a full on Arctic survival suit when there is a bit of drizzle!

Hopefully they will do something at a busy roundabout out of Ely ; at the moment you have to contend with fast moving traffic or use the crossing that makes you try and get over a two lane carriageway that is fine if peeps in both lanes and paying attention, not so if one line stops and the other doesn't notice.

Probably won't be a bridge like the above but crossing lights;

Annoyingly they re-did the roundabout not too long ago putting in a feeder lane but obviously no-one thought about how more dangerous it made it to cross.

sun in Cumbria, even in mid June, does not necessarily mean it isn't cold
I've seen snow on the Scafells in June, even at 1300' on Silver How I was wearing a fleece jacket.

I used to be like that in my teens and twenties. Even after the recurring back pain started it took another 15 years before I realised it was the cold that was causing it.

Exactly, that is shorts and T-shirt temps. If we all waited till it gets over 20C feels like; then we would harder ever take our longs and jackets off.

Well, I can assure you it was cold in the village yesterday. The few cyclists we had through the village had jackets on as did the various walkers that trundled by.

It was cold indoors and at one point we put the CH on. At least 3 wood burners were alight across the village, too.

To quote Bruce Springsteen; you must indeed be "Tougher than the Rest". ^_^

It is not about toughness at “feels like” 13C, which in real temp terms is 17-18C. If you are ice diving in your budgie smugglers, that would require a certain mental toughness.
