P.S. I forgot to mention that my avatar is really a picture of my brain (derived from an MRI scan). It's a nice brain don't you think?

It is, but something's leaking out of the bottom of it.

That'll be my spinal cord.

Hi,

Another exile.

Enjoy and have participated in most forms of cycling. Commute when I am working within cycling distance, though at the moment mainly working from home.

Also like scuba, cooking, reading history and travel (oh and a good argument).

Family man - the females have no interest in cycling, my lad raced youth until teenage hormones kicked in, but he'll be back

Aw, bless your little cotton socks for saying so
I will see what can be done. Bikeradar don't seem to like this place being mentioned, for some reason..

Hi all,

just signed up here after skirting the perimiter of the old C+ forum for some months and am training to get into road racing next year...used to enjoy a 15 mile commute for three years and converted from MTB in Feb this year.

Previously known as JW31 but I doubt you'll remember as I only posted about 20 times...

A full-time self employed arty-type/designer/loafer and my signature is my porn name...apparently.

Bit slow off the mark as this is well old now, but I'm still on me hols and miles away from the internet.
Dayvo, from Essex, minus the white socks, tattoos, ear-rings and bling (I've got the crew-cut, aka spam-head, though :?.
Lived in Sweden FAR too long (13 years).
Work as a greenkeeper, freelance translate, and, on occasions, teach English.
Ex C+, too, BikeRadar didn't float my boat, but this place does!
Prefer audaxes, or randoneurs (LONG distance rides) but just love the freedom of being out there on the road.

Dayvo,

I heard on German radio yesterday that Schonen has completely vanished under the recent rain. Is this true? It does make you wonder how Inspector Wallander is coping.

Another C+ exile. My real name's Clive and I've just started commuting into Leeds again after losing motivation for reasons I can't put my finger on (I blame TransWales last August).

Looking forward to having some mountainbike fun too before we descend once more into winter.

:?:

Current bikes:

Old skool Orange P7, Orange 5, Brompton L3, Planet-X Kaffenback.

I've come on here for motivation and I'm glad to see so many familiar people around. I feel at home already!

Hi, I used to be a C+ lurker for a year, dont really have an opinion on the new BR setup, but did enjoy nearly all the posts. I guess I am here as a C+ sympathizer although I did join this forum last year but left to go to C+ and now here I am again, life is really one big roundabout.
I used to be a submariner in the r.n., that had its ups and downs :?:
then I drove a taxi for a while :?:
now I am a really funny techy teacher up here in Orkney
I love the blues, hence the username, and I pretend that I am Jimi Hendrix in my dreams. I now love cycling nearly as much as my tele, but not as much as my family, wife, 7yr old girl and 2 1/2 yr old twins (one of each)
I hope to participate more in this forum than I did in the other place, although I am not an experienced cyclist.
btw, my real name is Pete.

Hi, yet another refugee from C+, I lurked around the edges of the C+ site for a couple of years only managing around 150 posts in that time.

As you can see my post rate at the moment on this forum, is about the same as it was on C+, SLOW. :?:

I have the same nickname here as at C+. it’s the initials of my first and middle names.

I’m a Chartered Engineer, but now work as a Global Quality Assurance Manager.

I live near Buntingford in deepest darkest Hertfordshire and commute to work, 13 miles each way. Most of my riding is on road but, I also have a mountain bike which I use on the local tracks and woods.

Bikes: Claude Butler Dalesman, an old Carlton Ten and a GT something or other moutain bike; don't know the model it doesn't have any names on it apart from the GT logo.
