Here we go.
I have no experience of powder coating, but having unwrapped the frame and fork I am pleased to report I’m delighted with the finish , it’s the right colour and looks the bees knees.

light is very bad today and the weather is awful so I’m not sure the photos do it justice.

Edited to add: Although I was quoted £36.00 for this job, it ended up only costing £30.00.

Lots of bikes were build without chain stay bridges
That seems to be a Raleigh thing. I have an identical stay on a Raleigh Pioneer.

Must save loads of weight, 😊
Oh didn’t realise it was a Raleigh thing. Lots of bikes were build without chainstay bridges of course.

More work this afternoon, I wanted to make sure the BB threads were ok, so I offered up the cups and all is good as is the steerer tube thread.

Had a clean up of the Weinmann brake levers too, they’re a bit scratched and gouged so I’ve put a bit of black enamel paint on them. Photos of them later.
Cleaned up the headset bits too, crown race, cups lock nut etc., quite a bit of gunk, surface rust and light pitting in places, cleaned up nicely though.

The saddle and seat post clamp were gunky, cobwebbed and just nasty, all nice and clean and corrosion free now.
