sounds like an issue, my 520 has been flawless to date.
Perhaps I'm missing something, but can't it be charged from a mains usb charger?<snip> I also have a Fenix 3 which has been pretty good except it will only charge from USB NOT from mains which is a real PITA when I am away from home.

I'm very interested in learning what does and does not work, as my brother has spent a chunk of his hard earned on a unit that simply fails to perform on t b t.<snip> it does depend on which format you upload the data file in. I can’t remember which format I use (I’ll check when I get home tomorrow) but it just works. I do know the other format you can upload in is very shaky...

Harsh much?!There’s plenty of posts on here about how the Wahoo ELEMNT devices are far superior in every way. Garmin are rubbish, you get what you derserve for not researching properly.
As with all technology, it is only as good as the operator
As I said, many of the 'problems' with these devices are down to operator error.I think some people fail to read the manual and change the settings to what they want...
