Ultra processed food, less manual work, take aways now being delivered in, not knowing how to cook, veg, fuit, salad items all being pre-packed and not sold loose, technology making people sedantry.
All factors, but UPFs the biggest culprit,
It doesn't help that you can't fat shame.

Valid point, but I'm lucky in that the only thing I'm allergic to is bee & wasp stings although they've never caused more than swelling of the affected part which is sorted with a short course of anti hystemine.

Pharmaceutical companies like the subscription model.

They don't want fatties to be able to get / stay thinner without the ongoing, paid for, use of their medicines.

Add in the other common ones: a cholesterol reducer; a happy pill; a blood pressure reducer; a thyroid function increaser; a type 2 diabetes medication and an acid reflux treatment and you have someone worth a lot of money to the pharma industry.

The NHS spends nearly £1bn per month on prescriptions dispensed in the community in England.

The Pharma companies are only interested in developing long term medications. Hence they are not interested in developing new antibiotics as you only take them for 2 weeks. Diet drugs and anti depressants you are on them for years.
