Charming but somewhat feckless
A British teaching assistant received a whopping $800,000 in compensation after she tripped at work and dislocated her finger.

While moving a wheelchair, Mrs Julie Ann Huddart tripped on a loose strap from the chair, injuring her elbow and dislocating her finger.

As with many of the big payout headlines, the detail is overlooked. Had she merely dislocated her finger, with no other repercussions, it would have been a different story. However, as result of her injury, she was diagnosed with reflex sympathetic dystrophy – a malfunction of the nervous system which causes pain and swelling and severely restricts movement down the left side of her body, and this has left her dependent on the full-time care of her husband.

Sorry, normal factoid service can now resume.

Scientists investigating UFO's. have accidentally created a black hole.

To avoid being described as fake news, but wanting to debunk the existence of UFO's, scientists gave each sighting a unique number, which served to identify them, meaning they could no longer be 'unidentified'.

What they failed to foresee was that in identifying them, the UFO's no longer met the criteria for getting a unique identifier and the subsequent paradox produced a black hole.
