I'm 66 but still working as retirement is boring. Don't watch daytime tv either.

I'm enjoying my retirement, it's better than working.

I discovered daytime Radio 4 when I was off ill for a couple of days last year. Interesting and absorbing and informative.

Do a jigsaw. Play board games (Friday is a great game for one). Count your blessings.

The older I get the less TV I watch, and I've never watched daytime TV - other than The Tour in the summer, and the rare other race coverage like the Tour de Yorkshire, and the ads are appalling as the OP says. In general it seems the more choice we have the less is worth watching - daytime and evening TV. I probably watch less than 2 hrs per week total nowadays - in spite of being one of 'the old retired folk'

Last year I had a small operation. Whilst waiting to be taken to theater, I was sat in the waiting room with daytime telly on. I was so glad to be put under anesthetic. Mind you, with the brainless sh*te on, I probably was already numb...

Homes Under the Hammer is worth watching for Dion Dublin. I have absolutely no idea how he ended up on there.

One lucky guy struck gold when the ruin he'd bought turned up a functioning Dreamcast. I assume they had a few bouts on Soulcalibur.
