Carrol Shelby never wanted to fit the 'big block' engine in the Cobra after all the 289 is over 4,500cc and produces plenty of power, the 7 litre engine was too big and heavy so upset the handling of the car.

The Shelby Cobra 427 S/C is ugly compared with the 289 or AC ace.

A mixed selection on this morning's ride
This selection of mainly Corvettes were behind closed gates at the Aviator hotel.
Then I spotted this original Mini at the bottom of a driveway
And these two were parked close to HMP Five wells
