At least 5 generations within the West Riding boundaries, that's as far back as I've gone
I've never lived more than 5 miles from Wakefield - which for centuries was the 'administrative centre' of the West Riding

(Manorial Courts were held here, from pre 1300, & jurisdiction extended as far west as Todmorden)
