The only day this week looking good for riding is Friday
Again!Think I'll leave the bike tucked up in the warm tomorrow![]()
Or you could go to Penrith train station.....From what I am reading if I go out on my bike I might get blown off ............ runs off to get the bike![]()
You'll be home earlier though!just have to leave a little earlier than usual due to wind
Sadly not for many hours and then only by a few mph, plus there are three obvious issues related to food and college and my dairy allergy... I think tomorrow might be a lycra day for cycling rather than my normal clothes which I usually do for college... That way I will have something dry to suit in for 2 hours... Now sitting at my parents home thinking about which strava segments will be worth taking a shot at tomorrow.... I'm 2 nd on one local one but need to up my average from 31 kph to 38 kph to get the QOM... Now wind assisted with panniers and waterproofs I might just stand a chance!I've a quiet week and so I'm trying to tackle those jobs I hate.... Like tidying/cleaning the house, so a little bad weather could be good for me, stopping me from ambling outside, if only I could keep off the computer!
@SatNavSaysStraightOn does the weather improve at all if you sit at college and eat lunch?
balance training for me! I have issues with balance from time to time being slightly paralysed! at least coming home into that headwind won't have any deadlines for arrival!A bit of wind = leg training, think I will take the fixed out for a play
+1 to that. Not quite as bad in Glasgow tomorrow ('only' 50mph) but this week is a total wash-out. I don't mind getting bit wet, but windy & wet, hmmm no thanks. Unfortunately, that is pretty much the default weather for the next few months, only broken up in the middle by some icy stuff. Hats off to those who plod on regardless, but my mileage has already been poor this year, and it's about to get considerably worse.Bike will be going nowhere this week!
Tomorrow - 60mph north westerly gusts with showers. Heavy rain all day Wednesday, same again Thursday. I need to emigrate; British weather is depressing. More specifically, west of Scotland weather.
I find once you are out in the wind usually it is not so bad. That said I was blown to a standstill a couple of times last year in the 30 minutes that St Judes Storm blew through.![]()
