If the kids are old enough, get them to run too! :okay:

(Or get one of those jogging buggy contraptions? :whistle:)

I would ask them to come jogging, but they'd leave me and the missus behind.

I do a 15 minute routine most mornings (6 out of 7) before breakfast which concentrates on core exercises plus some light weights and also some tension ones. The legs get sufficient exercise from actual cycling IMO.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although I ride my bike pretty much every day its not really exercise, obviously it's more exercise than sitting watching TV, but I don't exert myself. If I didn't cycle I'd have to walk and cycling's quicker.
I quit the gym because I just didn't have time to go between work and being home for kids, so now I have a set of kettle bells at home and I try and do 15- 20 mins every other day and on in between days I run/jog/walk a couple of miles.
I have an issue with my hip and squats or lunges are really good for that.
