OK, that hurt! Coming down from Shrigley, I didn't notice the road was wet/muddy - front wheel went skiddy once and then when it went again I had that "this is going to hurt" feeling... and it did!

Luckily no blood or anything broken. I think I have what they call "road rash"... skin not broken on my back but gone all red... and everything hurts!

Coming up the hill were two membes of a club for ADIDAS workers... if you're reading this guys, thanks for picking me and my bike and glasses up and making sure I was OK. Much respect to you for that. Cyclists are great aren't they?^_^

Don't think I was going too fast - when I lok back on Garmin it looks OK. Has made me a bit less daredevil though... and the bath after was sore!

Hope all's well, we had a guy come off on club run today, innocuous corner, but some shiny tarmac had a sideways slide, way above zero so not ice, just a slippy area.

Ouch. I ride around that area a lot and there are some fast desents. Glad it wasn't more serious, that feeling when your front wheel goes is not a nice one.

Ouch! The img isn't showing for me so I don't know if you were going too fast, maybe you were leaning too much for the conditions though or braking wrongly. Some folk can seriously fly through corners without a problem (I cant ); I think its more down to technique than speed.

Argh rubbish

The shower/bath afterwards is always a stinger  The lovely scab on my knee from my recent offage fell off yesterday. . . no idea where though - hoping the wife doesn't find it in her slipper.

Glad you are mostly ok!

What were you doing with your wife's slippers on your knees? Impersonating a dwarf?
