That's their name round this way.Ah, fartichokes eh ...
If people are terribly afflicted, they're best eating them in very small quantities, regularly. Lets their guts get used to the sugars and then the microbiome quietens its reactions ... I dunno about feeding them to horses, I always liked artichokes too much to waste them on supercharging the manure heap! That's their name round this way.
Some members of the family are so terribly afflicted they won't eat them.
Probably best never to feed them to equines!
I've a lot of time for horses on the road, but it's shame their riders are sometimes asses.
Like the two idiots yesterday who decided to ride round a blind bend on the wrong side of the road. Worse, it was up a hill, so they met me head on, cycling down the hill towards them.
Good job I was only coasting down the hill, and not in a hurry. Even so, I had to stop pretty sharpish, and the horses did not look entirely comfortable.
