Yes, in my opinion, he's one of the best popular Standup Comedians.

He is popular, even if he says he is not.

Nope - he just doesn't appeal in this house.

Northerners seem to love him up here where we live.

They tell us that we don't get Northern humour ‐ well, we do actually, and in Kay's case it is so simple to understand that it just about qualifies as playground humour which lost it's appeal about 55 years ago in my case.

Not a patch on the subtlety of Gervais or Minchin. Cat amongst pigeons time.

Not sure what your issue is with northern to tell the truth.
Christopher ecclestone's dad had certain views on northern/southern comedy i believe.
