Police cut-backs

I've shared this before but it fits here so I'll mention it again.
I've seen one police officer/PCSO on a bike round here and I've only ever seen them once. I caught up with her on a section of cycle path and she was practising riding no handed. She lifted her hands above the bars by about 12 inches or so and pedalled along a bit, this gave her the confidence to put her arms down by her sides and pedal along a bit further. Eventually, however, she heard my freewheel clicking along behind her at which point she grabbed back hold of the bars and looked behind , I took this as my opportunity to ride through and tell her I thought she had done really well, she was then more than a little .
Maybe that's why I've never seen her or any other law enforcement officer on a bike since.

Smith and Wesson provides bikes to some forces (although I think they are just rebadged Fuji MTBs).
Must be good to ride round as a law officer on a Smith and Wesson.
