I have a specialized rockhopper (2011) which is 4 weeks old and has done about 150 miles.
The rear brake is vibrating really badly and starting to wind me up.The brake is a Shimano BR-M505 hydraulic disc brake and is standard.
What could be causing this and can it be cured? The front brake is the same type and is perfect.

Have you checked the rotor bolts?

Although TBH I'd be taking it back to the shop, (assuming you bought it from a shop*), as this clearly shouldn't happen after 4 weeks average use.

[EDIT] * just read that back. I'm not suggesting you may have acquired the bike any other way than legally  But you may have got it via ebay for example. I'm sure you know what I mean

It could be a number of things, such as contaminated pads or rotor, mis aligned caliper, but seeing as it is so new take it back to where you bought it from and let the mechanic check it over. No use in taking any risks with brakes if you are uncertain get a specialist to look at them.

The bike came from Tredz in Swansea and is due for it's first free service,I'll let them know about it.
Hopefully they'll put it right, strange thing is the brake works very well it's just the vibration right through the frame that's causing the problem.I also bought the same bike for my son and his is just fine.
