I'd assumed that much older EVs have far more limited range than more modern ones. Ignoring the state of the battery (which I understand can mean significant replacement costs), newer technology (battery, motor, control) would probably give more recent models far better range

Is this the case?
(I appreciate that for some range is not an issue whereas of others it could be more important).

Yes they typically do. Battery tech developed/is developing very quickly.

Generally yes, more modern EVs tend to have better range than nolder ones. Batteries generally seem to be lasting much better than was orignally predicted so cost of replacement isn't much of an issue.

If only!

It’s a Taiwanese engine by Kymco that is fitted to the car.

I think that is what Dicko was talking about. That engine powered the BMW C600 scooter, widely considered one of the best of that type around.

And it is what is normally meant when referring to the BMW twin 600 in a modern ocntext (as opposed to the vintage engines which would obviously not be used for this).

I’m hoping the VW Up! replacement arrives soon that little car is so popular around cities

We’ve got a Citigo as the family pool car, we all love driving it!

Talking to a VW Golf hybrid owner locally last night and he was telling me about his car needs a new Catalytic converter fitting and VW dealer had quoted £5k , sounds like local exhaust centre can do one for £1500 so it's booked in next week.
