If I considered the possibility of the CO2 injector seal failing to be a risk I would carry a spare injector, they hardly take up any space.

I own three of its predecessor\sibling the Road Drive. They have their flaws when used with certain types of tube.

CO2 has been more reliable for me than any mini pump I owned previously. I have broken many mini-pumps and also a couple of valves. CO2 has always worked flawlessly for me and gets me higher tyre pressure too. Environmentally I would say that the impact is pretty similar judging by the number of mini-pumps I have had to throw away. Cost wise CO2 wins as well for me. If a perfect mini pump existed then maybe I would switch back.

You can just use a tiny bit of CO2 to get started, but I generally inflate with my mouth first, but then again I do that at home with a track pump.
