Just watched it. I think that was the worst film I've seen all year. Well, all decade really. Ever, come to think of it. So, thanks for the heads up.

I remember seeing it first run. My thoughts, exactly, worst railway film ever.
Titfield Thunderbolt-best railway film ever.
Strangers on a Train also quite good, as is Breakheart Pass, IMHO
I should, however, like to thank @slowmotion for the alert(although my work-around for viewing BBC no longer functions).

EMD F-units? Saw them all the time, ran past my house, on the GM&O. Pretty ubiquitous until the late 1970's in the U.S.. Normally in much better shape, as well.

I think I may have some pictures of later GM&O GP30's (with running gear from the Alco FAs they traded in on the EMD GP 30, as well as an SD40 or some such they bought right before the merger with Illinois Central. I may also have slides of TP&W F-7 in paint reminiscent of New York Central.
