One, or should I say two that slightly annoy me are Eagles and Rolling Stones when referring to those two bands. I'd say their song titles are usually credited with just Eagles, Rolling Stones 75% of the time, compared to The Eagles, The Rolling Stones. Most times they don't even use the, never mind The before Eagles and Rolling Stones which annoys me so much that when I post their tunes on https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/the-chain-aka-tune-association.155895/ I either put a (The) in front of their names or even a The without the brackets, if I'm feeling quite rebellious!🧐

Neither of those bands have "The" in the name. Most of their album covers just say "Eagles" or "Rolling Stones", and I thinmk they should know.

But it is/ was 'The Beatles' rather than 'the Beatles'

I'd say use a The, if a band has a title that refers to the members, like The Beatles or The Kinks. If a band's name refers to a phrase Like Status Quo for example then it'd just be Status Quo, not The Status Quo as the band's title doesn't suggest a collective of members. Then again Status Quo were referred to as 'The Quo', or was it 'the Quo'?! 🤔

Rolling Stones doesn't sound too bad, but Eagles just sounds er, not right!🤔 Then we have the lyrics in the song "So I called up the Captain, Please bring me my wine, he said, We haven't had that spirit here since 1969", which isn't quite right as wine isn't a spirit as it's fermented not distilled. I've posted about this before on CC that in my opinion the lyrics "Please bring me a cup of tea" He said, we haven't had that hot beverage here since 1963" would've been far better!!🤔 🧐

Why has Strava decided to call my ride this morning "Cycling" rather than "Morning ride" like it normally does?

Mine normally classes my rides as "Morning Walk"

seems that I walk REALLY quickly

must change that default at some point!!
