I hate Gorsey Brow, just too steep at the top to be anything other than a sufferfest.
Nice hills to climb up that are very local to you...
Long Hill out of Whaley Bridge to Buxton.
Mellor Road out of Marple Bridge to Mellor
Buxton Old Road out of Whaley Bridge to Disley (and the reverse)
Wingather Rocks out of Kettleshume to Pyms Chair
Mellor Road out of New Mills to Mellor
Hollywood Lane out of Marple Bridge to Rowath
Long Hill and Wingather Rocks can also incorporate the Goyt Valley which is probably the prettiest stretch of road in the whole area. It is turning it into a rather longer ride though as that finally pops out at the top of the Cat and Fiddle above Macclesfield. It is really lovely though
