It is a fish finger sandwich. The reason that there's no online presence for a chip sandwich is that no normal person would eat one.

Therein lies the problem, accentuated by poor bread choice

Fish fingers are, fundamentally, rectangular, so they only fit naturally on rectangular bread which must, in turn, be cut "side to side" rather than "corner to corner"

As soon as the OP made his bread choice, he was doomed to a poor butty. Warburtons Super Toasty is the way to go

First layer 4 longitudinal 1 transverse across the top, second layer 5 transverse. You have to start at the top though as the two transverse stacked together tend to fall out..
