New logo is out, I wonder how much they spent on this:

"Our updated logo combines a cycle cog and a horizon line – symbolising a new dawn for cycling. Our warm new colour palette reflects optimism, inclusion and energy. And our tone of voice is now clearer, more confident and more inspiring – helping everyone understand why cycling matters." xx(

The new logo must give the management a nice warm feeling, otherwise "Thats nice dear"

Was/is a "new dawn" required? Are rebrands intended to keep the visibility of the organisation alive, or do they address a need in the community?

Looks like one a local, to me, bikeshop uses, and has used for the last twenty years.

I wonder, will they be opening an overseas "branch"?

Just as an FIY, a similar change happened in France and the FFCT (French federation of cycle tourism) became FFVelo. That said, the FFCT acronym is still liberally used. I've no idea if the rebrand created a similar upset but I'd guess it did.

This happens dunnit? New people come in with new ideas, change the colour scheme, redecorate and refurbish the executive washrooms. Meanwhile, everyone else just files the revamped mag in the same place and pretty much carries on as they were.
