I think Cybernight is alluding to an experience I had with an antipodean version of a bottle cage that I had to invert in his presence today. I could be completely wrong though.......................................... ;-))

For completeness, I finally solved this with a new product from Topeak

I haven't actually fitted them yet but I've just been and tried out the positions and I can move one enough to now fit a second bottle cage. So anyone who has the same problem should get these. Available at SJS.

Exactly what I fitted last weekend. Solved all my problems. I can carry more water now too. Winner.
