keep wrapped in greaseproof paper in a tupperware box in fridge. keeps for ages, its not just popped out of a cow you know

choosing your own in person save a long thread on suggestions of everyone else favourite cheddar and counters as to why there are wrong:okay:

That’s around ten miles away, probably a 45 minute drive each way at the weekend. Then I have to find and pay for parking!
I’m just looking for easily accessible options

Is there a Booths near you? If there is check out out for cheese. You might find something other than cheddar that you like more. We used to spend too much on cheese there

Are you a cheese fan, or is it just to have in and cook or eat it as is ? I love cheese, but not the really pongy stuff !

There is a chance a local butcher or green grocer will stock some nice stuff. You are looking at about £5 for a small specialist cheese though.

We visit the local Cheesemonger in Prestatyn when down there - cheese heaven https://thelittlecheesemonger.co.uk/

Not much locally, I won't go into a butcher as I can't stand the smell of meat nowadays!!

It's just for sarnies, or to grate over stuff

Since you've shown yourself to be such a cheapskate, I hesitate to recommend a not-quite-cheddar-but-similar cheese that I've bought often since Simon Jones first brought it to market - Lincolnshire Poacher. Waitrose occasionally sold it, but currently not available it seems.

It's not a cheddar nor available so...
