Hi,

Probably a question asked loads of times. Just been looking at my slightly neglected Specialized Hardrock in the garage this morning and as I am a poor man and can't yet afford a winter bike, am going to put some road tyres on this bike along with some proper mudguards.

Don't want to spend a massive amount on tyres, just want to be able to keep on riding during the winter.

My rim size is 559x18 if this helps.

If by winter you mean snow then any tyres with good mud shedding will be fine. If you mean ice then you are looking at around £40 a tyre to get studded ones. If you can clarify a bit it will help greatly.
