Is the pub still there/open? Although there are several places on Maldon High St and a cpuple of Cafes in Promenade Park.

If not, the cafe next door is still open.

I won't be coming back into London but I'll be disappointed if I haven't got my feet up by 5pm.

I would like to join at HPC. Will probably return via Burnham for a sentimental recce - a regular weekend haunt for me in the late 60's.

Route tidied up a bit.

As everyone knows I'm useless at knowing where I've been before so there may be deviations from this route as everyone else will know exactly where they are. And I'll just be following someone else back to the Dartford Crossing.

Thanks for the thought. Its a shame, but unfortunately its the only weekend this side of xmas that I am not working and things have just started pilling up for me to do.

Hopefully after Christmas I will get a better run at things.

I was thinking about that too. The lanes could be a right mess through the more rural parts of Essex.
