Cant see another thread on this but MODS please merge if there is.
Lovely lady, 'weather girl' and presenter.
I'm sure she was on TV just one week ago.

I was stunned when I found out this morning. Its no age, and so unexpected. Thoughts and prayers go out for her family.

  9. That is sad news! I haven't watched tv in ages, but i remember her doing the weather report and local programs for this region. This must've been a very aggressive form of cancer if she was working up till last month. You just do not know what fate awaits you!

An appreciation of the fragility of one's own existence as she was of a similar age to me.

Yes, I seem to remember seeing her very recently too.. Isn't it strange how we can warm to somebody that we have never met just from their cheery personality on tv.. Perhaps more of us should try it and then maybe we'll be remembered too.

    A sad loss indeed

This sad news made me cry.

I've always really liked strong and slightly quirky women - and she was both. Top presenter and what a shock.

As already said upthread - life is so fragile and you never know if tomorrow's date has your name on it.
