There are deer in this area, but I have hardly ever seen them. On one rare sighting, the deer in question actually did that to me on a fast descent but went right over my head - from my left, HERE!

It doesn't even look like a cycle lane, rather the edge of the road. Either way it would no doubt be covered in all sorts of crap. Odd really as it doesn't even look like a busy road. Apart from random deer of course!

I saw this on the Cycle Recycle FB page. Someone commented 'holy cow' which made me smile. Definitely a deer.
I've had a deer bounce over my car bonnet, I had to think what it would be like to actually have one take you off your bike.
