Had a bit of a car vs bike collision the other day (thanks to which I am now sporting some stitches in my nose and an impressive skin graze on my chin). Consequently, my Trek Pilot 1.0 that I use for commuting and weekend riding is in the bike shop and probably about to get written off. As a result of this, I (or rather the car's insurance company) are in the market for a new roady-bike in the £5-700 range.
What I liked about the Pilot was that it was a slightly more casual geometry, which made it a fairly fast yet usable commuter bike. Does anyone know of any good brands/models that might be comparable? Trek have consigned this one to history unfortunately....
